Why does everyone love it so much? I mostly just like playing cause it reminds me of l4d. As in, the engine. I know I know HL2 came out first. But I mean story-wise it's just meh to me. I liked the beginning. Maybe it'll get better.

To be honest, I've never made it through HL2 either.  Episode 1 and 2 yeah, but not HL2.

I remember when HL1 first came out we would rent it over and over again for ages but for some reason never really got past the first hour of it haha. When I first decided to play it all the way through I was like wtf? I dont remember ninjas and all this shit

I loved the second one it just took for ever to finish. The third one better be epic
